Monday
Another week of work. Looked at the result from the previous LC-MS in LCQ and also from ASE. Run another 2 washings in ASE. Did another run in the LCQ. Have my group presentation at 10 AM since my boss is in Reno, Nevada. Groupmates gave suggestions. Went back to lab (6th floor) and wash my xerogels. ASE was done and another run (2 washings) was made. Absorbance of washing obtained. LCQ of filtered samples (TC in water). Talked with the other boss about initial results and then ran the LCQ one more time. Did washing on another batch of xerogels.

Sunday!!
I am supposed to be home. But need to hurry up in the lab to see my LC-MS and ASE. Another 2 washings for my C8 xerogels in ASE. Then LC-MS for the TC in EtOH this time using methanol instead of acetonitrile as the solvent. Another MS/MS/MS/MS at higher potential (40) for the TC in water.
Got back home to watch Mets game in Shea Stadium. They lose and Brewers win so its really their final game.

Saturday!!
I am supposed to be home. But sunce I won't do something useful at home except to get myself fat, I went to the lab. Have my C8 xerogels prepared for ASE at two washings only. I also washed my xerogels and then analyzed in Agilent. For the LC-MS, higher concentrations of TC in ethanol were used (old EtOH and EtOH) and scanned. MS/MS/MS/MS of 394 ions at 30 was also done for TC at water. Grind and used ball mill for the C8 xerogels.

Got to the lab at 9:30 after waiting with my son for his school bus. FWF so I prepared the data to show my boss. Printer is out of sync again. Talk with Kelly who told me that our friend has been putting his weight around again by signing in for the use of one of the instrument up to November. He is an ASSHOLE. We talked loudly so that our boss can hear us at the next room. Words like doctor of retard were heard in the conversation. One of our group mate also sent an email about our friend unethical ways. Boss have meeting so I went back to the 6th floor lab and continued my Globals analysis. Meeting at 2 for CHE 102. Out by 3. Pass by the 3rd floor lab and have a chat with Mark. Went back to 6th floor and continued Globals analysis. Run the LCQ. Prepared sample and set LCQ for MS/MS/MS. Went home after leaving a sequence of about 37 injections.

Thursday
I woke up at 5 am for my class at 7:30 AM. As usual every Wednesday and Thursday, I wait for the first trip of the school bus from South to North campus. 6:39 am is the first trip. Yesterday I fell asleep during the ride waking up when most of the people have already alighted from the bus. Not today. Passed by the lab at 6th floor. Shit. No more nitrogen gas for the Agilent LC-MS. Record Exp. 13 of my students. passed by the other lab at 5th floor to get the test questionaires from the last test.
Have class at the recitation ad then the cook. I hate one student of mine during the lab. Always asking questions when I already gave the answers. Since he was late, no way man. His reason that he lives in the South campus area was rebuked by telling him I also lived there so your reason is nonsense.
TA office hours at 11. Went to the lab at 6th floor. Got my laptop and then went down the TA office. Thank God. The genius student from the other section is not there to antagaonize and challenge my intellectual mind. Help some students in their lab reports.
Up in the lab (6th floor) at 1 pm. Don't feel good. COntinued doin Globals analysis that started during office hours. Fell asleep from time to time. I then washed the endcapped xerogels with 10 mL acetone. Too tired and week to do lab. Called Praxair to order a tank of nitrogen gas. Received the multichannel pipettors before leaving the lab and call it a day.
Still doin the globals at home.
Need to do it for my first paper.
